About
Liniker
Liniker first gained recognition in 2015 with the EP Cru, shared online under Liniker e os Caramelows. She later released 'Remonta' (2016) and 'Goela Abaixo' (2019), the latter earning a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Rock or Alternative Music Album in Portuguese. She also starred as Cassandra in Amazon Prime Video’s 'Manhãs de Setembro' (2021), earning Glamour magazine’s “game-changer” recognition.
In 2021, Liniker released her first solo album, 'Indigo Borboleta Anil', featuring Milton Nascimento, Tássia Reis, DJ Nyack, Tulipa Ruiz, Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica, Letieres Leite and Orkestra Rumpilezz. The album earned three Latin Grammy nominations in 2022 and won Best Portuguese Language Popular Music Album, making her the first transgender artist to ever win a Latin Grammy.
In 2025, Liniker expanded her achievements with three additional Latin Grammy wins:
- Best Portuguese Language Song (Veludo Marrom)
- Best Portuguese-Language Urban Performance
- Best Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album (CAJU)
Liniker is one of the rare Brazilian artists to perform at NPR Tiny Desk, Colors Studio, Glastonbury, Roskilde and Rock in Rio.
Liniker recently released her new album, 'CAJU', co-produced with Fejuca and Gustavo Ruiz. Blending pop, samba, jazz, house, pagode, arrocha, disco and reggae, the project features Lulu Santos, BaianaSystem, ANAVITÓRIA, Pabllo Vittar, Priscila Senna and more.
The impact of 'CAJU' has been immediate: over 200 million streams in ten days, including 6 million in the first 24 hours; #6 on Spotify’s Global Top Album Debut chart; 13 of 14 tracks in Apple Music Brazil’s Top 100; and #1 on iTunes Brazil for both the album and its title track.
