There is no artist quite like 2x GRAMMY Award winner Thundercat.

On one hand, he’s a prodigious talent widely considered one of the greatest bass players on the planet; on the other, his singular artistry has racked up over 3.3 billion streams. He’s an artist who can win the Miles Davis Award at the Montreal Jazz Festival for his contribution to jazz, while also crafting songs that resurface again and again on TikTok — with “Funny Thing”, “Dragonball Durag” and “Them Changes” recently sparking 7 billion views and over 3 million creations, propelling the latter back into the Billboard charts and onto Shazam charts across 30 countries.

In 2024, he took over Dover Street Market London with a Spring/Summer collection in collaboration with the landmark concept store, before making his acting debut in The Book of Boba Fett, performing on Yo Gabba Gabba, and voicing Grune the Destroyer in ThunderCats Roar. Equally at home performing with Spinal Tap on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and in Yo Gabba Gabba’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert as he is on Colbert, Fallon, or the GRAMMY stage with Steve Lacy, Thundercat is an artist who defies categorisation.

Beloved by cultural icons as diverse as Barack Obama and Kim Kardashian, his impact on popular culture has been quietly seismic. Since his prominent role on Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp a Butterfly, he has collaborated with Donald Glover, HAIM, SZA, Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder, Kaytranada, Travis Scott, Pharrell, and Silk Sonic (Bruno Mars & Anderson .Paak) — and played landmark sets at Coachella, Glastonbury, Afropunk, and Primavera to name just a few.

Following a sold-out four-night residency at London’s KOKO last year, the amazing Thundercat returns with his first original music in two years, “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time” and “Children of the Baked Potato” (feat. Remi Wolf), out now via Brainfeeder.
