About
Contrary to the name, there’s nothing secret about X CLUB. anymore. The duo of Ben Clarke and Jesse Morath have spent the last few years sharpening their craft, turning dancefloors inside out, and pushing their sound into uncharted territory. What started as a raw, high-energy take on 90s techno has since evolved into something broader, more refined, pulling from breakbeat, jungle, and whatever else happens to be rattling around in their heads. It’s dancefloor ready music, but built for the long haul.
That ethos extends beyond the studio. This sonic evolution is matched by their relentless, globe-trotting rise. The past few years have seen X CLUB. cover continents, leaving a trail of sold-out shows and legendary sets in their wake. They wrapped up 2024 with a triumphant homecoming tour across Australia, selling out Carriageworks Sydney and PICA Melbourne, before headlining festival mainstages like A3 and Let Them Eat Cake, while throwing down back-to-backs with Ketboi69 in Perth, and delivering a high-octane Boiler Room performance in Sydney to 10,000 fans. Now, they’re set to top it all with their biggest Australian headline yet, a massive warehouse show at the newly reopened Wool Store in Melbourne this December. Taking place just before Christmas at the height of summer, it’s a rare chance to catch X CLUB. on home soil in a landmark setting, joined by Clouds, Bella Claxton and more.
Kicking off 2025, their January Irish run, spanning five shows in five nights, has already entered the realm of local legend status, and a month later similarly storming through Canada with KETTAMA for four sold out shows, before locking in a series of major club and festival plays across the North & South America including EDC Las Vegas, Portola, DGTL Peru & Chile and The Ruins in New York. This is just the beginning; a stacked UK & European summer awaits, including Glastonbury, Awakenings, Boomtown, Junction II, Intercelle, MS Dockville, Paradise City, Contours Paris, Terminal V, Glitch Malta, AVA Belfast and more, plus a Berghain debut, you get the gist.
And while the sets keep getting bigger, so does the music. X CLUB. have been busy in the studio, dropping two massive remixes, one for Dom Dolla & Tove Lo with Partiboi69, another for Chloé Caillet & SG Lewis, a Boiler Room Sydney favorite, before unleashing ‘Frankie Knuckles’, a track that set the internet alight; over 3,500 video creates, 20 million+ views, a full-blown social media movement. Now, they’re gearing up for their next big chapter: ‘Stay With Me,’ EP out mid July on Steel City Dance Discs, their triumphant return home to the collective where it all began. The EP will include the much anticipated title track ‘Stay with Me’, alongside singles ‘Desire to Stay’ and ‘You’re Not a Popstar’.
