Aideen McQueen is one of the brightest sparks in the new generation of Irish comics. She’s sassy, sexy, saucy and side-splittingly funny.
Aideen appears regularly on RTE, TG4, BBC Northern Ireland and has numerous writing credits with BBC Radio 4. She is one of the resident comperes at the world famous International Comedy Club in Dublin and has supported many top names including: Ardal O’ Hanlon, Dylan Moran, Johnny Vegas, Phil Kay, Sean Hughes, Reginald D Hunter, Des Bishop, David O Doherty, Neil Delamere, Arthur Smith and Frankie Boyle.
“Waiting for Texto” is a hilarious comedy about dating in the age of social media. Aideen plays Lucy, unlucky in love, who spends an evening waiting for a text from her elusive love interest, Tom. The play is set in real-time and takes the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions, blending fast-paced monologues, punchlines, and relatable themes like social media’s vacuity and the struggles of modern communication.
